I See You
Smiling I think of you For you have many roles Lover Confidant Friend Partner I want them all For I want you I see you in your glory In your smile The glint in your eye The drizzle of your essence I hear your voice It’s lilt It inhabits my dreams As you read my words Stirring my loins and my soul I feel your touch As you take me to our sacred space The place we nurture in each other Where wants made known Burst with life and joy Sustaining my day And Enriching my night

It is Love... Heart, head, body and soul.
There is something beautiful about the way this poem moves through the senses before arriving at the heart. It doesn’t simply describe love—it lets it unfold through seeing, hearing, feeling, and finally through the sacred space two people create together. I especially loved the idea that true intimacy is not only found in touch, but in being fully seen. Thank you for sharing such a gentle and luminous piece.
