Seeing Into The Other

When your

breathing hitches

and everything stills

When you’re looking into

each other’s eyes

you get lost inside

Your hearts race

as if you’re starving

You do not have to touch

You see into

the soul of the other

Where you will burrow

every need

every craving

every want

and never leave

For it is when you

draw me in your mind

do it so you never forget me at all

scorch marks

a reminder that our passion
