The Hunt
Their game is afoot
In twilight's hush
Where shadows sway
A tale of love
A hunt
A wolf's sweet play
His rabbit
so swift
a cunning breeze
He stalked his innocent prey
with such practiced ease
She slipped through his fingers
like sand in the night
He pursued her
relentlessly
with all his might
“Fate is divine."
He whispered under his breath
“She will be Mine."
His heart's passion
“Our destiny's will align”
She also waited in secret
In shadows
dark and deep
a wild adrenaline rush
her heart did wildly beat
Tip-toeing quietly
she made her final break
but the wolf
was smarter and
Pounced
with no mistake
“You're mine now
little rabbit,"
he proudly declared
You'll never escape
my love
my desire
my souls lair
She softly giggled
“This rabbit likes it
when we play
you
the big bad wolf
and I
your easy prey”

This wolf and rabbit tango is equal parts primal and poetic. Loved the playful tension.
