We Are Seen

I saw her

catching moonbeams

under frozen moonlight

and thought of her

as magic as stardust

The stars guided us

throughout the dark seas

of the wide and vast

universe in moonlight

until we met

in that special place

of written dreams

And when we had kissed beneath

haloes of frost within the snow

I had thought that her lips

had felt like heavens kiss

With the warmth of our kisses

we became golden

and born of the sun

as it shines light upon the moon

The most beautiful gift of all

I don’t need to be perfect

in her world

I just need to be real

To stand here uncovered and say

this is me

still standing
