Why I Write

I didn't study poetry

I don't know the rules

I don't want to punctuate

or capitalise

or rhyme

necessarily

i don't want

to impress anyone

or preach

I’m not here to shatter your belief

I have been hurt

and in reality despite

hurt others

so many different times

But

more than the depth of hurt

I believe in the great power of love

and I write for the same reason

I write just to
